  1. It took 32 years to sentence him for 1 year and I am pretty sure most of his time will pass in bails and paroles. Our judiciary should be ASHAMED of itself.

  2. There is a 6-year ban on convicts from contesting elections after completing their jail terms. However, the jail term should be 2 years or more for the electoral ban to apply. So, Siddhu can contest elections. Nevertheless, his political career was over with his defeat in the Punjab elections held earlier this year. To be fair, Siddhu was NEVER a POLITICAL HEAVYWEIGHT. He was media created BUFFOON who managed to charm the Gandhis and got to the post of STATE CONGRESS PRESIDENT.
