  2. Actually, Afghans were never given a chance to decide their fate. Taliban is the byproduct of the Saudi-sponsored and US- masterminded "Mujaheddin experiment" of the 80s that went horribly awry. The region was TRIBAL but never so terribly Islamist as today.

  3. Finally, someone is stating the OBVIOUS. Afghanistan has NO oil. Its mineral resources are unproven and infeasible to mine, and the region is a geopolitical GRAVEYARD. Also, you do not have caucasian lives at stake or a geopolitical hegemon to settle scores (like in Ukraine). In short, Afghanistan cannot fetch WOKE brownie points or hashtags. So Afghan womenfolk are on their own.
