As a middle class, I am comfortable with current slabs. These idiots ONLY need to fix the ECONOMY, EXPAND the Middle class (which will automatically increase the tax base), AND most prominently GET OUT OF THE SOCIALIST HIGH.

I respectfully disagree. We have EDUCATED & SKILLED people who are either UNEMPLOYED or UNDEREMPLOYED. The problem is our INDUSTRIAL POLICY. Impossible to attract big investment. POSCO still haunts us to this day.

@scienceisreligion5618 Almost everything in Estonia has been privatized. It is mainly a service sector economy with a population that is just about 2/3rd of India's Goa. It is a country to be admired as it ranks HIGH in transparency and Business-friendly indices. It is a "heaven" not formed by socialist design but by very capitalist and far-thinking leadership. As to Russia, it is everything but SOCIALIST. See the problem is you people think SOCIALISM leads to WELFARE but in reality, it is WELFARE that leads to SOCIALISM. Hence, you need money makers for Welfare,

@libshastra Perhaps I concede that there is a skill mismatch. For eg Most of our engineers esp Mech/Electronics eventually end up in IT because these sectors have no scope in India. However, but you can't say that these engineers lack talent. They only lack opportunity.

@scienceisreligion5618 This is the first time I'm hearing of this. So you mean to say USSR was a "heaven"? This is neither Science nor Religion. Soviet propaganda sure made it sound like HEAVEN but everyone now knows that all their data was fake. You wish to believe otherwise that is your choice. Eastern Europe is not supporting Ukraine because they love the country. It's because they fear Russia (even though it is not socialist but headed by a dictator who reminds them of the old times)

@scienceisreligion5618 Forget it, You are entitled to your view. You think USSR was good then that's your view. In my opinion, it was a NIGHTMARE. I am happy that it DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE. The rest has been aptly put by @Dr. Vedank Vrisaparvan. As to Shekhar trolling the middle class, well he is entitled to his view. Modi was voted for Hindutiva+Development. He cannot sustain on Hindutva alone and he knows it. The upcoming state elections results will make that clear. BJP will win with reduced mandates and the rise of AAP will signal a new kid on the block and finally give BJP the much-needed competition that Congress has failed to give.

@scienceisreligion5618 Dude, I still mean to respect your opinion and you and not degrade to the level of the current environment of mindless trolling. However, arguments based on logic or point of view can be respected but not farcical Statements. The 5% controlling 70% of wealth is from Oxfam and is actually misleading. Sure, if you measure wealth as market value you simply need to add the Forbes list and many countries will have similar statistics. However, Mukesh Ambani worth $90 billion does not mean he has $90 billion in cash. He does not intend to sell Reliance and even if he does he might not fetch that amount owing to supply exceeding demand. It may help raise capital and what not but even banks it's still an asset that only hold a "nominal" value. Tmrw if some new tech replaces petroleum, Reliance will loose all its value. The other thing about incentive to move away from 9 to 5 jobs. Seriously why? More than Govt incentive what makes you think we would even want that? Entrepreneurship is not everybody's Cup of tea. Also, it is a 24x7 commitment. Also, if everyone moves to entrepreneurship who would do 9 to 5 jobs?. Clearly, you have a fixed mindset. Good luck with that.

@scienceisreligion5618 Sure, the moment these "Shudras" become successful you will start spewing venom at them too. After all, Dhirubhai Ambani was baniya who broke traditional barriers became a cloth salesman and worked his way to become rich, Gautam Adani used to roam in a scooter, Karsanbhai Patel started as a lab technician who used to make and sell detergent house to house and then there is the OBC Shiv Nadar. All these billionaires had humble beginnings. That and their respect for wealth has KEPT THEM SUCCESSFUL. But of course, it is easier to hate the SUCCESSFUL.

@RAIRADIO That's well explained. You clearly have a skill problem on your hand. When I was searching for jobs, my biggest obstacle was the huge number of contenders and their very high qualifications. But this was for jobs in Management and Finance. For a different sector problems might be different.
