Dalits were the worst victims of riots and Gandhi went on fast unto death on the issue of separate electorates for Dalits. Gandhi argued it was a British conspiracy to divide Hindus. Ambedkar was not comfortable with Congress but Gandhi was the bigger leader of all Hindus hence joined hands with Nehru. However, He was impressed with RSS and Savarkar and taught it was a force that could break caste lines.
