Comments by "Sankalp" (@sankalp6872) on "A big study in The Lancet challenges widely-held Indian fears of ruinous ‘population explosion’" video.
I was expecting an episode on Ram Mandir "Un-Invitees". Sg, surprises again

The problem with this type of "research" is that it involves a model and every model is based on a set of assumptions. So nothing is precise. These are estimates and could very well be wrong - 109, 165, 209, or even 10 cr, who knows the situation in 2100? COVID may not even be the last pandemic. The problem is depleting resources. Add Global warming to it and you may actually have fewer habitable lands. We must not take these studies for their word but proactively promote sustainable growth and development. The population explosion is a THREAT.

@nachiketdhende8681 Religion is a matter of personal choice but it has become an organized institution. We need not blame politicians for riots. They only pick issues dear to the masses. We can't separate religion from identity. That is Sad.

@nachiketdhende8681 Name one politician who does not pick these so-called "easy" issues. Identity Politics is central to the profession. If it isn't Religion it is Regionalism or something else. We all are hypocrites but we flank moral platitude as though there is no better human than us. Nobody could take PM Narsimharao's great achievements away from him despite years of disrespect towards him. No one is perfect, PM Indira, PM Nehru, or even PM VP Singh. All have done good things and awful things but when you sum all had a profound impact on India progress- social or economic. PM Modi too will make his legacy.

@nachiketdhende8681 Don't blame Media for the sheer incompetence of a spineless opposition. No bandh, protest, padhyatras or even small rallies for the last 6 years. All useless family scions. Don't blame religion. It has never come in the way of scientific progress. Many of the scientists were deeply religious. It is the institutionalization of religion that is the worry. Hindus divided by castes are in a way blessing that prevented them from forming a greater Taliban like organization as the interpretation of Hinduism has been largely philosophical and never textbook. The same cannot be said about noninclusive religions that openly discriminate. Science and religion can coexist but double standards cannot.

@nachiketdhende8681 Nope. You are WRONG. The media's job is to be the mirror -Fair, Honest, and upholder of Truth. Same as a Doctor, Auditor or a Lawyer or for that matter any other profession. But all are not motivated by honesty. Media chases TRPs. They made Kejriwal and Modi the King. They played a significant role in taking down the corrupt UPA. Has Mr Rahul done anything of the level of Mr Kejriwal or Mr Modi from pre-2014? Nope. End of the day everything is Politics. You may think that people are gullible but the average humble voter knows about everyone. His/her options are limited and involves choosing the "Least worst Option". You can't keep pushing a failed Rahul against Modi. For that matter an utterly confused Congress which fights for credit for NRC in Assam and has one standard for CAA in Tripura and other in the rest of India. You can't flank moral platitude and hypocrisy at the same time. Like it or not Mr. Modi is an elected PM. It is the Opposition that failed to arrest his victory. Rahul Lost Amethi that itself sums it up. Blaming the media or IT cell or others are just lame excuses.

@nachiketdhende8681 I do not which News Channels you watch but mainstream media is accused of pandering to the Right as well as Left. Tukde Tukde Gang was caught on camera shouting anti-India slogans. The so-called peacefully protestors were caught hurling abuses and inciting violence. The world is not black and white. People are entitled to their opinion. I do not see anything wrong with CAA. Some may be convinced otherwise. They are free to elect a Govt that would reverse it or even article 370.

@nachiketdhende8681 You are entitled to your opinion. It's a free country. You call it discriminatory, I feel it is just. As to fake news - there is enough hypocrisy on both sides. Allegations run wild from both sides. There is the Judiciary. Let them assess the veracity of these allegations. Of course, you can allege foul play at a judicial level as well. In that case best of luck and strive hard for a regime change.

@nachiketdhende8681 Again. You are making allegations. You have no proof for either. The left has been a mortal enemy of this Govt since the very beginning. They have raised all "misinformation" and fake news. Latest was CPI writing letter asking Doordarshan not to telecast Ram Mandir construction. Every Christmas Doordarshan does a detailed program on Lord Jesus and his message. That is kosher but anything Hindu is bad. Then there are those in perpetual victim mode. UAPA was used on 8000 people under UPA and 10000 under NDA. One person was charged for complaining about lack of electricity in a UPA ruled state. Several BJP workers killed in West Bengal and Kerala but does anyone report? Nope. Everyone on internet has an agenda but then it's freedom of speech and expression.
