They raised the stakes unnecessarily high and now have a hard time going back. A tense situation is not good for either country. In case of a war, nobody has the strength to go past the finish line. Both countries will end up destroying each other. Xi Jinping is playing a dangerous game. Instead of allaying the world's fears of a rising China, the commie President is only elevating them.
