Many seem set on the PM's response to the Chinese incursion. IMO, the PM should not respond. Firstly, the Chinese President hasn't addressed the issue publicly. Secondly, Our PM wouldn't know what to speak. We are NOT the ones encroaching on territories, and we can't go Zelensky with our "Christmas list". Any PM-level response will signal WEAKNESS. We need to engage the Chinese on our terms and not theirs. Words like "Pitai" from someone claiming to be on an All-India-Unity tour are harmful to our national resolve. We need to be PATIENT and CALCULATING with the Chinese.

So, what? The Americans and the Chinese consider each other EXISTENTIAL THREATS and yet have a booming trade. The US trade deficit in this enterprise is over $400 billion. The Chinese are the world's factory. No country can disengage with China. Developing domestic industries will take time and need money. India's problems are compounded by anti-Industry lobbies.

Should we consider the current Chinese strategy a display of their POWER, STUPIDY, or a bit of both? Unless the Chinese go full 1962, they won't get any territory. I know we easily rule out war because of MAD. However, we must take a pause and at least consider localized "encroachments". You can't be playing with a LIVE WIRE. At some point, the Indian army will go full-BEAST if things continue like this. Are the Chinese prepared to tame the beast? It does not appear to be the case, especially when you already have so many other issues at home.
