It is so much fun to see that those who could not defeat Modi electorally are now banking on Biden to tame Modi. It shows their lack of confidence in India's opposition. Secondly, it is wishful thinking. Mr. Modi won't change his politics for Mr. Biden. At best Mr. Biden will rebuke in whispers but won't go for sanctions against India or China.

The rise of China is INEVITABLE. What happens in the US has no impact on India although I agree many in India act as though they are the ones who ended Trump and pushed Biden to power. The US has no vested interest in India. It's every NATION FOR ITSELF.

Deal with? In case you are wondering Biden is no less shrewd. However, the US will lose its global influence under him. He cannot stop the inevitable rise of China.

@subaruyagami2327 Nobody will fight our battles for us. It is high time we respect China and acknowledge its might so that we can transform into a force that can challenge the dragon. India needs to build an Industrial ecosystem rivaling that of China.

@ObitoUchiha-uq3pf Again wishful thinking. Modi's biggest strength is lack of opposition. Modi's BJP which has no MLA in WB is the chief challenger to the ruling incumbent. As to other strongmen like MBS and Erdogan or even Xi or Putin and for that matter even Imran Khan, none have lost their sway over people. Let's not forget that the US itself is divided. Trump won more votes than any other Republican President before him. Almost every US academic and expert concede that the rise of the Dragon is inevitable.

@JohnWick-vd5fk I could not agree more. Despite no allies in the Media or Republicans, he gave a good fight. He just made way too many enemies only because of his tongue.

@Kannot2023 Don't be delusional. It is the 21st Century, no war is going to break loose between the US, China, Russia, India, or any major powers. No trade blocks will be formed to shun China. Most countries that the US had on its payroll like Pakistan have already shifted their allegience to China. Even the QUAD seems like a non-starter as China will perceive it as aggression. China's rise is not good for India or the world at large but nonetheless, it is INEVITABLE. Joe Biden will certainly be more engaging and make efforts but he will not be able to turn it into George Bush's "either you are with us or against us". One cannot really blame Trump or Obama but China did a commendable job in the last 20 years.

@subaruyagami2327 Help and Trade are NOT THE SAME THINGS. I am not skeptical and I strongly believe that India is the next strong superpower. However, there is still much tp do. The US will trade with anyone as long as it sees value for its dollars and India will have to make itself count.
