  2. He did NOT confront the Army. He became a liability for them given his economic performance and foreign policy which was decisively anti-America and at one point even anti-Saudi Arabia. They tried to repeatedly counsel him but he lives in his own "echo chambers". Finally, the Army had ENOUGH and NOW HE IS ON HIS WAY OUT.
