  1. Good for India. For a long time, it has been said that China is encircling India in the Indian Ocean. The debt situation proves that China is digging a hole for itself. Yousuf Raza Gilani, a former Pak PM, once described Pak-China ties as "taller than the Himalayas, deeper than the seas and sweeter than Honey". Clearly, even his analogy fails to capture the true "depths" of the "debt" Pak owes to China.

  2. A retired State Bank of Pakistan official said that "Pak is an IMF addict, and IMF is a Pak addict". It's good to see China picking up this addiction. The last addiction was Opium which destroyed China.
