The "political pandits" are acting as though this is the final election in the country and Karnataka. Irrespective of a Win or Loss, BJP and INC will remain the TWO principal poles of Karnataka politics. Every 5 years, this contest will happen. No big deal.

@Josefa Senguttuvan I highly doubt that. See the verdict over Rahul has been known even before 2014. Yet, the family's hold over thr party is so strong that nobody dares to speak. Rahul has swallowed so many defeats that one more will hardly make a difference. On the other hand, losers generally get sidelined in the BJP and a new leadership is groomed. It's been their culture even before the beginning of the Modi epoch.

@Josefa Senguttuvan Nope the Mughal Empire died with him. I wouldn't rule out a similar fate for the Congress. However, INC dumping the Gandhis is unlikely. Their last chance was Tharoor as president but instead Kharge (the loyalist) was preferred.
