  1. Prof. Mandal has hate for the OBC PM of the country. Perhaps it has to do something with the environment he experienced in his home state. Today, OBCs are ruling the roster everywhere. Even merit debate does not apply to OBC, as OBC cutoffs are very near to General cutoffs (in some instances they even exceed).

  2. Which Bharat Ratna or any Govt medal is Nonpolitical? (Maybe except for Sports/Army). The one good thing about the Modi Govt is its penchant for honoring forgotten/ignored heroes, like the Republic Day award ceremony last year. The decision to award Bharat Ratna lies with the ruling party, and all governments have used it to push their ideologues or fish votes. Out of the 49, many have been to politicians.
