  1. It would be bizarre and dishonest to suggest that NOTHING IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE CONGRESS. Mamata's strategy should NOT BE VIEWED from the NARROW PRISM of 2024. Her expansion is on the lines of the Janata Party. She may not gain anything in 2024 but she can ensure (1) the command of the regional front against the BJP and (2) Demise of INC.

  3. The only TRUISM and India's WORST KEPT SECRET is that RAHUL GANDHI's PM aspirations are OVER. He never impressed anyone and will never impress anyone. Mamata is the rising sun and it is time she should go in for a HOSTILE TAKEOVER of the Congress.

  4. Modi's term is NOT OVER YET. Lackluster or not will depend on the messaging that the BJP is able to build. However, saying that INC's vote share of 20% will increase by default is kind of a stretch. If anything Mamata is doing the right thing by expanding. It may not fetch her votes or seats but I think she foresees a united opposition (minus Congress) on the lines of the Janata Party taking on the BJP in 2024. So, yes she may fail in 2024 but if her plan works she will ensure two things (1) a formidable union of regional parties pitted against the BJP in 2029 (2) Demise of the Congress.
