  1. Because Big Pharma owns Europe. Not that they are wrong after all its a once in a lifetime opportunity to make money. Developing nations have no leverage but to wait for the market to become competitive.

  2.  @crabjoe  mRNA is a new technology. Not many experts are available in India who are aware of the technical sophistication of mRNA mechanism. Also, storage is a major issue. Pfizer requires a temperature colder than Antarctica and Moderna also requires very cold temperatures (about -20 C). That said both are not widely available as of now. Sputnik is the best candidate for India right now. Also, domestic vaccine companies have made it clear that more stock will be available post-20th May. But more than the vaccine, India needs discipline and its political class acting at lightning speed.
