@nachiket9981 ONLY ISLAMIC EXTREMISM IS BAD. THERE IS NO EXTREMISM IN HINDUISM. UP elections were held on account of Allahabad High Court order. There were 3 lakh teachers on election duty. Even if all of them had got Covid the maximum of deaths would be 1500. (based on India's IFR of 0.5%). I do not buy into the figure of 3 as quoted by the GoI as they count the number of cases that happened only during the election duty days but it is NOWHERE CLOSE TO 1600. The total number of deaths in UP is about 22,000 (official). Even if we multiply it by 4 it is less than a lakh which itself is a great achievement for a state of 20 crores.
