The Vikas Dubey encounter was the latest sound that went ignored. The man deserved to die but through a due process. Powerful empires often collapse from within. e.g. INC (before the 1990s), USSR, Mauryas, Mughals, Mongols, etc.

Was her family muzzled by cops and that too by a DM no less? And more IMPORTANTLY, Be honest and answer. Is there NO CASTE DISCRIMINATION IN INDIA? Maybe I can Ignore states like Goa (although even in Goa the Saraswat Brahmin lobby is the most powerful. But they do not indulge in crimes of this nature) and urban centers like Mumbai. I can understand Tamil Nadu where Brahmins are subjugated to many difficulties or even Lalu's jungle raj where pretty much every Non-Yadav, Non-Muslim was tortured but - NO WHAT IS WRONG IS WRONG. UP Police acted with NO basic human decency and total insensitivity.

  9. Going purely the data presented by SG. Modi is in TROUBLE. Without a decisive action, he retains the odd 7-9%, Thakur vote but stands to lose a chunk of his Non-Yadav OBC, Non-Jatav Dalits and Brahmin votes. When you can't decide arithmetically sometimes it's just better to DO THE RIGHT THING -> FIRE YOGI.

He had momentum on his side with film city, pro-industry policies, Bihari laborers/mazdoor goodwill, or the rescue of students from Kota but that midnight cremation just burnt everything. It is extremely hard to get that picture out. Even if one gives the benefit of the doubt and agrees that there was NO ASSAULT as claimed by some but not allowing last rites or muzzling the family took things too far. He and Modi need a miracle to come out of this mess.

  12.  @anshusinha1650  Again all BAKWAS. He did not include his caste in the OBC list. Telis were never HIGHER CASTE anywhere in India. They were traditionally vote bank of the Congress. Modi downplayed his caste because Gujarat to has clumsy caste equations pioneered by the COngress.

Yogi has killed the Hindu euphoria. He is modern-day Jaichand. This is not 2002 that can have a polarization spin. This is directly impacting BJP's Hindutva model.
