@JabberWokey How and why does it matter if the UK or anyone has this law or not? In case you are not aware, laws vary from country to country. You have the freedom to create your own "wishlist" of laws, but the MPs (or Lawmakers) have no compulsion to take it up. It is IMPORTANT that everything happens from the floor of the parliament like the way ARTICLE 370 was junked. We SHOULD NOT ALLOW -> RIP DUE PROCESS.

The SC has NO AUTHORITY TO MAKE/AMEND/ALTER/JUNK LAWS. It can ONLY INTERPRET LAWS/CONSTITUTION. The essence of democracy lies in the due "process". The element of "time" is directly linked to the maturity of society. It is disturbing to see the process getting "bulldozed". Otherwise, Individual biases will be "the law of the land".

@realmilind Nope. "Anything" against anybody is a straight-up DEFAMATION case. Why should things be different for an entity like the Govt? The original interpretation of the law in the Kedarnath Singh vs the State of Bihar was CORRECT. Both inciting violence against the Govt and spreading disaffection against the Govt are PATHS TO CHAOS. ALL CRITICISM OF ANY GOVT SHOULD BE WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF (PROVABLE) FACTS.

@singhanant Read properly. I said disaffection, NOT DISSATISFACTION. No govt can function if the daily order of business is firefighting. Hence, while criticism is welcome, chaos is NOT.
