@sivachandanchakka6183 It was added "unconstitutionally" in the preamble by a Lok Sabha that was 1 year past its tenure. However, constitutionally, India is secular. However, "secular" does not exclude India from being a "Sanatan" country. In its true spirit, secularism intended to make India an inclusive country.

@sidharthapatra4296 It can be anything. Society is free to determine its own path. India's version of secularism is equality before the law. Historically, the much-maligned secularism was originally conceived to keep faith from interfering in administration. That does not translate to a "faithless society". In India, it's been a balancing act that never ever got balanced in a battle between majoritarian conservatives. and an alliance of minoritarian conservatives-left-appeasers. True liberals are rare in India because they don't hold a political voice. Hence, they are divided across the left and right spectrums.
