Exactly. These so-called "Analysts" don't know the first thing about analysis. There is no research to back their analysis. They think Dalit politics is the same as Muslim politics. It was never and will never be that. Dalit politics is about representation & respect and NOT IDENTITY. A Muslim CM will never be acceptable to the majority population but that is not the case with a Dalit CM. Hence, Muslims become vote banks but Dalits although they are portrayed as vote banks are never such. For the longest time, Dalit votes were transferable with their leaders. However, BJP broke that equation by increasing representation for Dalits. There is a Dalit President today. Mayawati works in shadows. She has a deep understanding of the ground reality. She knew she made an error by aligning with Akhilesh in the past. Her voters did not like that alliance hence left her. I think Yogi will win another term in UP but if people indeed opt for a change it would be Mayawati and NOT AKHILESH.
