  1. I am not a political analyst but if I can offer my 2 cents, I think the Shinde CM move has a lot more at stake. I think the BJP has broader goals here. 1) Shinde will takeover the Shiv Sena. It will be difficult for Uddhav to retain the party. It's a ploy to end the Thackeray raj. 2) It is folly to think that BJP will END the Shiv Sena. It is logical that Shinde must have struck some kind of "Non-aggression pact" with the BJP. Shinde is NO FOOL. 3) The jewel aka BMC is now the BJP's. It is likely that the BJP will get the Mayoral position in BMC. Shinde controls Thane and has the CM's chair. Bombay is the last remaining bastion of Uddhav which will now be very hard for him to retain. 4) I cannot say if Shinde will eventually merge Shiv Sena with BJP but even if that does not happen, BJP will have enough strength to install its CM any time it wants.

  2.  Ranjeet Kumar Nope. Western Maharashtra is a Pawar fortress. As long as Pawar is alive, it CAN NOT be breached. The powerful sugar lobby is in Pawar's pocket. Don't underestimate Pawar. Modi and Pawar have a gentleman's agreement. They don't make fatal moves against each other. Fadnavis breached it in 2019 when he got cocky and poached MLAs from NCP. Pawar paid back with an Early morning swearing-in fiasco and MVA. The BJP will not repeat that mistake again. Perhaps Bhujbal (owing to his personal bad rapport) will face the ED but others won't be touched. The revenge will end with Nawab Malik and Deshmukh. However, Congress leaders like Ashok Chavan and whoever from Shiv Sena chooses to side with Uddhav will face the music.
