Nobody should escape accountability, and Nobody is above scrutiny. Nehruvian Socialism killed entrepreneurship, China war defeat led to Aksai Chin going to China, Kashmir fiasco enabled 3 more wars, and the refusal to reform Muslim personal laws led to appeasement and vote bank politics. The toxic hold of Nehruvian Socialism was only broken in 1992 by PV Narsimarao.

@BharatThatIsIndia The problem with people like you is that you think you are the King of knowledge. Nehru and Indira Gandhi were both serving as PMs when they got the award for themselves. The cabinet belonged to them, and even the President was theirs. It was a BAD PRECEDENT, but you will NEVER bring yourself to acknowledge it. Tomorrow, if Modi awards a Bharat Ratna to himself, you will be the first to CRY. That said, I do not object to Nehru or Indira getting the Bharat Ratna. Nor will I object to Modi getting a Bharat Ratna. It is unfortunate that the awards became political. Gandhiji not getting the award is a good thing because it shows that some people are above even the awards. Zubair got the TN state award only for political reasons, but the precedent for this was set by Congress. You are entitled to your dislike for Modi. However, everything from misuse of agencies to Govt breaking was started by INC. They are paying for their sins and deserve to stay away from power for many more years.

@sushant-um6iv The menace of Nehruvian Socialism endured for 40 more years with its lingering effects present to this day. Irrespective of the "good" intentions, one must judge the outcomes. Also, I pointed out many more failures besides Nehruvian Socialism. In sum total Nehru's was of mistakes, sins and some good things. He is no hero to me. Others are entitled to their view.

@BharatThatIsIndia LIES. Check the IMF website. India's per capita income is 2.85 thousand. For Bangladesh, it is 2.65 thousand. There is a subject called mathematics, specifically algebra that is taught in high school. But what else can be expected from those who attributed the Banking turnaround of Modi to "account ki hera pheri" and who believe India is on the path to becoming "Pakistan". Also, comparison is Apples to apples and oranges to oranges. At 7%, India adds almost Vietnam-size country to its economy. The 5-year average growth rates for India and Vietnam are only 4.5% and 5.5% (only 1% apart, which is due to a much greater contraction we suffered during COVID-19, source: World Bank Data). Political choices are personal choices. Continue with yours.

@BharatThatIsIndia "you people" can only be defined by a cheap version of Yogendra Yadav. The superiority complex should come with some big achievement. A random youtuber is not an achievement. Only merits of your argument matter. Anyways it is beyond the comprehension of a self-obsessed and self-indulgent obnoxious certifier who does not even spare India's first tribal president. But some myths need to be broken. 1) Nehru got Bharat from a Nehru cabinet 2) The Rajendra Prasad was a Congressmen. 3) The first instance of article 356 used to dismiss a democratically elected state Govt was in 1956 in Kerala during the Presidency of Dr Prasad. In sum, the politics of the Nehru era was no different from today. In fact, it was much worse. So don't be so hollow while picking up your "nuances". Lastly, I'll define my label whether Right wing or Left wing or others. These are self confessions. Nobody holds certification right especially a random quack. Selectively conjuring "nuances" to justify a wrong is a FRAUD. Opinions are different from facts. Opinions do NOT need "nuances". One can leave things at "in my view". I do not question anybody's opinion.

@sushant-um6iv Dude, it was a failure that continued for 40 years. Nehru set the country on this path, so accountability belongs to Nehru. Also, Nehruvian Socialism is not the only thing I mentioned. You conveniently ignored my other points. You are free to think of Nehru as a HERO. Many in Russia still think Lenin and Stalin were heroes. People are free to think as such. For me, Nehru is NOT a HERO. My education tells me all SOCIALISTS are QUACKS. Good intentions are not the only criteria of leadership.

The "potted plants" of "parivarvaad" are NOT viable in the current era. Rahul Gandhi's failures cannot be deemed a referendum on our democracy. Voters do NOT care for any Lib-Left VALIDATION. All said BJP should be CAREFUL. Modi will never become complacent, but watchfulness is warranted.
