@preetleo09 India's total revenue collection is $280 billion and total expenditure is $480 billion. About $50 billion is always spent on farm subsidies. No doubt many of our politicians are corrupt irrespective of the party but their source of black money is not our tax money rather deals and favours they grant to people and companies e.g. recruitment, contracts, extortion etc. So MSP will ultimately come at the cost of even higher taxes because of the remaining budget rest are salaries, defence and of course welfare schemes like free ration, Rs 2000 to farmers, MNREGA, Nal se jal etc. You can't expect cost-cutting there because recipients are poor people. So if you are middle class you are screwed. Also, these measures don't help the economy either. Indira tried to run such a regime. India headed towards bankruptcy on account of her high tax policies and out of control fiscal deficit.

They are demanding MSP now. Indian Govt will go bankrupt if it yields to that demand. Why do you think Congress never promised or legalized it?

just forget about the laws now. They are gone beyond your control. These farmers are already brainwashed. They won't listen. That Rakesh Tikait himself praised the laws initially and is now dining with Mamata in whose WB, farmers don't get any MSP. You have lost the battle of perception. Either leave them to states so that individual states can implement them or take them back for everyone but end the impasse.
