Neither the BJP is foolish nor the voter. Don't mistake a "misdirection" for a "Brahmastra". Rajasthan and MP are being led by Raje and Shivraj only. Elsewhere, Yogi, HBS, and Dhami are already leaders in their own right. You may be obsessed with Modi, but the BJP is already readying its GenNext. Personally, I think the opposition will benefit more from it than the BJP. The Saffron juggernaut will be stretched too thin and will face too many operational problems. The "Hindu" unity is too fragile to be deemed reliable.

@Avinashm7 Not everyone agrees with your view that the BJP is communal. It could very well be that you subscribe to the appeasement/communal/anti-hindu ideology.

I am also against ONOE but I find your reasons ridiculous. Firstly, your historical context is wrong. Both South Korea and Taiwan (and even Southern Europe) emerged as powerful economies from "efficient" dictatorships. However, the era of controlled dictatorships is over; hence, these things are impractical. As to your main point of "constant elections being a safety valve", the frequency of elections is not getting affected by ONOE. You will still be voting every 5 years. ONOE is just impractical in India. At the end of 20 years will still have some states moving out of sync.

@pp_01123 BJP won UK with a 2/3rd majority despite changing the CMs thrice. You may not credit him but Dhami did a lot of the leg work and doused several fires that his predecessors left for him. I doubt you follow Raj and MP news. Shivraj is raining supreme in the state. Unlike Bommai, Shivraj is putting a credible fight. As to Raj, Rani controls most MLAs. Without her the BJP is doomed.
