  1. Ironically, Manish Tewari's tweet, "Where you stand depends on where you sit", also applies to him and his own party. It's interesting how much space Indira Gandhi and Congress took in this discussion. UPA also had run-ins with the courts. Law is the lawmakers' domain. Big Govt overreach needs to be CHECKED but done under a DEFINED FRAMEWORK which is DULY DISCUSSED in the parliament. Courts SHOULD NOT conjure things out of thin air and be allowed to call it "Basic structure".

  2. Quality debates are essential for DEMOCRACY. A dysfunctional parliament hurts the nation. The blame lies on the feet of the OPPOSITION because by not allowing the parliament to function, they give a free pass to the Govt. Only Lawmakers should MAKE LAWS. Courts are mere CUSTODIANS. Fundamental rights have been CURTAILED by both the LEFT and the RIGHT to curb other sides.
