@jimb8842 Synthetic oil is good for at least 15k miles or 2 years whichever comes first under the best conditions. However with an older car that was prone to oil gelling 3-5k mile oil changes are probably a good idea.

It’s rare to need new struts. People replace them just because and end up destroying the ride with cheap aftermarket crap.

@Cookiebaggs233 They don’t wear out unless seriously abused. Even if they are worn I’m not going to waist money on a car with over 150k miles to get a harder ride. Cars with slightly worn out shocks actually ride better, they float a little more.

Exhaust, shocks, and struts really never fail on modern cars. The suspension on modern cars is so firm that you really don’t even need shocks/struts. They should have just left the original struts in place.
