It doesn't say anything about the nature of the arms. They could go back to flintlocks (which I support).

It says "Well Regulated" .

@Johngozz1 He's as much a president as anybody else in history. Trump was a TV show actor prior to being president. Do you actually think he ran the government?
2
The states run the country for some things. They can't declare war (and hundreds of other things).
2
SuperTrump Patriot Now they want to restrict voting. They need to bring back the "moderate conservatives" .
2
@brutusmaximus1830 The elections were legitimate. I don't know why you think Trump had anything to do with a resurgent America. He didn't accomplish anything of substance. He said his 2017 tax cuts for the wealthy (his only accomplishment) would jump start an economic boom. It didn't. It gave the 1% an unearned 1.5 trillion dollar bonanza instead. He sold his tax cut scam by saying it would put $4,000 in everyone's pockets. . That turned out to be closer to $3.50 a week.
2
@ryancrawford1423 Find electable candidates. The average American doesn't want the US to be run by extremist nut cases. Do it the American way. Go towards the middle . Compromise.
2
@brutusmaximus1830 If Trump had inherited a crashed economy as Obama did, Trump wouldn't have been allowed to run for a second term. You clowns credit Trump with "the economy" which he did nothing to develop. He inherited everything from Obama. Trump showed his colors when crisis finally struck. He allowed everything to go down in flames.
2
Jeremy Two Who's your leader now? Matt Gaetz?
2
@kevinmedina5430 The Supreme Court became political when the GOP violated the Constitution and stacked the court with a Republican at the end of Obamas term. They should get some of their own medicine.
1
@jamesgavin6171 The second amendment hasn't been touched.
1
Jeremy Two That's why the rich should be taxed back to the stone age. they aren't working for America, they are working for their own self-interest.
1
@dymphnaelsanto5577 I checked it out. Thanks.
1
Military style weapons have got to be regulated . It's the only way. Too many crazies out there. Of course, the American way, if you don't like who's in power, is find a candidate who can win an election instead of looking for ways to keep people from voting. Are you really planning on running Trump again? Ted Cruz? Matt Gaetz?
1
@napalmstickylikeglue The more guns present, the more killing. Do you know why hand grenades are illegal?
1
@sentinel9046 So now you make up your own definitions of words? That's pretty pathetic. No, a "well regulated militia' meant the same in 1788 as it does today.
1
Hostis Humani Generis There are anti-riot bills.
1
@debbielove5993 Reagan was an idiot. His tax cuts were a massive giveaway to the 1%, insuring the destruction of the middle class.
1
@sentinel9046 It means "to govern or direct according to rule". Look it up.
1
Swelled Upinya Trump won't come back. He lost the election to Clinton by 3 million vote. He lost to Biden by 7 million votes (see the trend?). The GOP needs to branch out and find an electable candidate next time.
1
@silverwitch1 When the Constitution was written the US did not have an army. The right to bears arms was obviously a necessity for the nation's defense. When the military was created there was no longer a need. The Second Amendment is now obsolete.
1
@kevinmedina5430 A voter has to be registered. Faking a vote is 5 years in prison.
1
@brianoden1798 The president doesn't have the power to abolish the Second Amendment. Stupidity on your part.
1
Swelled Upinya So who do you think is president? Matt Gaetz?
1
@kevinmedina5430 Yes, but Obama had the right to nominate one of them. That violated the Constitution not allowing him to do so.
1
@kevinmedina5430 Yes it is. The constitution says nothing about postponing a nomination until after an election. It was unconstitutional.
1
@kevinmedina5430 Postponing a nomination is stacking the court. Nothing in the constitution says they were allowed to do that.
1
@brutusmaximus1830 I read it all the time. Do you? Please point out where it says one party can postpone a Supreme Court nomination for eight months until after an election. Article II Section 2 Clause 2 He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, JUDGES OF THE SUPREME COURT, and all other Officers of the United States... WHERE DOES IT GIVE ONE PARTY THE AUTHORITY TO POSTPONE?
1
@scottsanders5595 It says "well regulated" as well.
1
Damian There was no army when the amendment was written. Of course it meant government control. What did you imagine a militia would do if the government didn't control it?
1
Damian So now you are making up your own definitions of words? "Militia" was a government force before the army was created. "Regulated" meant the force was sanctioned and controlled by the government. 'Bear arms" meant to joint the militia (you don't bear arms to go squirrel hunting). . I'm sure the founding fathers could not imagine the idea of banning guns so that is out of the question. Many people relied on hunting to eat. It's pretty obvious the 2nd Amendment leaves the door for regulating firearms, especially the military type firearms. Some types of weapons should be banned altogether.
1
The majority of "we the people" support regulating guns as is written in the Constitution.
1
@davidpar2 Goofus, no one is after your stupid guns. Assault rifles, yes. You don't need an assault rifle to hunt. If you do, I feel sorry for you. If we have any more school shootings, however, something will be done. The people will demand it.
1
@brandonhines9589 Any thing with a magazine.
1
@duncanmcokiner4242 Nope. They should only allow single shot muzzle loading rifles just like in 1788 when the 2nd Amendment was written. That's what the founding fathers had in mind.
1
@dymphnaelsanto5577 Censorship? Are you bringing up Dr. Seuss again? There is no case in the Supreme Court for doing away with warrants. Where exactly are you getting your stupid "information". It is garbage. Trump didn't give states power regarding Covid. The states ran their own programs because Trump was too incompetent and disorganized to get a program going.
