  21. The Constitution says the bearing of arms is necessary to form militias. At the time of the writing of the constitution, the US did not yet have an army. Local militias were replaced by the National Guard, Indian attacks and all that. I don't think they had killing machines in mind when they wrote "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". 498 mass shootings so far this year causing a hell of a lot of unhappiness. It's out of hand.
