The Dems have the Senate. The GOP can legislate until they turn blue, but nothing will get accomplished if the extremists are allowed to run the party.

That omnibus bill offers all sorts of benefits to the American people. Most people are happy with it. Hard to believe the GOP thinks blocking the will of the public will result in a red wave. Look what happened in the last election.

@bean-spiller They did peel off 15 or so Republicans with the omnibus bill. The real question is this September. Will the GOP shut the government down? The last time they tried that the GOP took a real hammering in the following election and Newt Gingrich was kicked out of office.

@I don't believe you Nothing progressive about Republicans. They voted against a bill to increase baby food production during the pandemic. They voted against a healthcare bill for veterans. They voted down a bill to cap the price of insulin at $35.00.

@I don't believe you Where did you get the idea Trump is a conservative? Knocking up Stormy Daniels is not exactly family values.

@I don't believe you He also donated money to Planned Parenthood and Hillary's Senate campaign. He even inviting the Clintons down to Mara-lago for his wedding.

The same people destroyed the political process on Jan. 6. by supporting an insurrection. They wanted power so bad they tried to overturn an election. . Now they have power and are making a mess of it. It's an embarrassment.

The GOP had a chance to showcase democracy after the 2020 election by conceding.

What happened to upholding the constitution on J 6? Comparing that with the Founding Fathers is a joke.

@wink196 Only one? How's this for a start? 1) 22% increase in VA medical care. 2) $ 858 billion increase in military spending 3) $30 billion increase to public schools. 4) $17 billion for child care 5) $400 million increase in law enforcement grants and the hiring of 1,700 more police officers. 6) $60 billion for highway and bridge infrastructure repairs. 7) $ 3 billion for homelessness grants. 8) $500 million to native American healthcare. 9) $20 billion for climate change including energy efficient home upgrades. Do you have any idea how many jobs this will provide? Now for the real challenge: The GOP voted against this. You tell me what measures the GOP took to benefit the American people in the last 30 years. Now to be fair, 15 or 16 Republicans did vote for this.
