  3.  @alexberger5307  If he said he took them, that is an admission of a federal crime. He has no business having that stuff in his possession. Trump is the one who said he declassified the documents. No one in his administration recalls being informed he was doing that, and there is no paperwork of him doing that, so one would assume he was lying. First he said he didn't have the documents, then he said he declassified them, then he said he gave them back (but didn't). Now he is saying he took them for his presidential library.

The president can declassify some documents, but there is a process. Trump didn't bother with the process. He's also not allowed to take them. and keep them. It's government property.
