I think the problem is less with the youth than with this 24/7 news programming we have today. We hear news stories today that would never have made the press 40 years ago. Local street crime or protests would have been found in a tiny column on page 15. Today, it's all covered 100%, no matter how trivial. The impression of "Portland being burned to the ground" when the scale was actually 95% smaller, etc. is an example. Covering congress today, nothing much has changed in congress than is any different than before, it's just that today congress is actually covered by the press. No one paid any attention to congress before. The big problem, like I said, is the news coverage today. It's all about $$$, MSM, including Fox, especially Fox, is manipulating the news for maximum profit. They mix in propaganda to maximize emotions knowing this will increase ratings and profits. It's all about ratings.

Schools in the US have an impossible task of dealing with this. It's affecting you too. Your quote "today's youth out burning and looting in the streets" is a 10,000% exaggeration of actual events.
