  5. It was an insurrection . Trump hoped to keep himself in power by overturning the election. The mob was supposed to delay the electoral vote counting. Pence was supposed to somehow send the process back to the states where certain states were to declare to voting null and void and reverse the election. Why Trump was not arrested on the spot, I will never know.

In Michigan there is an investigation into certain republicans who pushed a Michigan audit and did fundraising. They pocketed the money apparently. "Michigan’s attorney general has opened an investigation after a Republican-led state legislative panel said people are making baseless allegations about 2020 presidential election results in a northern Michigan county to raise money or publicity for their own ends".

  11. You need to do a little research. Trump expected to disrupt the Senate counting of the electoral votes on Jan 6, in violation of the constitution. He said himself he wanted Mike Pence to somehow "send it back to the states", in violation of the constitution. Pence had the brains to stay out of it. Pence's action was the only thing constitutional that happened that day. Of course it was an insurrection. .
