@mabes2873 Trump is being impeached because he is not being transparent. Why is he ignoring lawful subpoenas? It's against the law to ignore subpoenas. That's one of the articles of impeachment : obstruction.

@mabes2873 You don't call witnesses in a preliminary hearing. It's the same as a Grand Jury hearing. From what I understand (from Judge Napolitano) , defense witnesses come at the trial. Schiff is out of the picture. He didn't write the rules, in fact, apparently the republicans wrote the rules some time ago (according to the good judge). You are making the mistake of actually believing Fox News misinformation. The key is what trump said and did, not members of congress. He's the one that will be on trial. Wouldn't it be nice if Trump would just take the stand and clear this whole thing up, instead of wasting tax payer money like this? This is not a criminal trial. There's no jeopardy involved on his part. He could testify under oath and clear the whole thing up.
