The bill does not include pay raises for the house. The bill is a Senate bill anyway. Who controls the Senate?

They know hundreds of businesses are going to go out of business and thousands of people will be losing their homes in the coming months. The trillions to the 1% will be used to purchase these properties. They will be able to pick them up at bargain rates. All this is part of the massive transfer of wealth to the top, which has been going on for decades. They never let a good crisis go the waste.

The total amount of this "stimulus" package is around 4 trillion. It is a huge transfer of wealth from tax payers to the 1%. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

@jasonwebster8027 I know. Both parties are corrupt.
3
@QueenAllero You are onto their game. I also read something that sounds very plausible - that the crisis is going to eventually cause hundreds of businesses to go under and thousands of homes will be lost in the months ahead. The so-called crisis is designed to transfer tax payer money to the 1% so they can buy this these properties, likely at bargain rates, using tax payer money.

@jveebklyn1644 They know desperate taxpayers will welcome the peanuts offered ($1200 checks) and not pay attention to the massive scam.
2
The pork is the fake stimulus bill in the first place. It is a massive transfer of wealth from the US treasury (4 trillion dollars ?) to the 1%. They simply don't want a good crisis go to waste.

@sadcat9634 A Libertarian party would be just as bad. Money corrupts.

@KevinCoop1 It Sucks. There's going to be a revolt of some sorts. Wait until the $1200 runs out and people start losing their homes.
1
@KevinCoop1 Whatever became of "Moderate Republicans" ? I know where they went. They are now Democrats and are now in charge of the Democratic party. They are just as neoliberal as the GOP. Have read any of Thomas Frank? The Dems are no friend of workers either. Read into Joe Biden's past. He's quite a piece of work.
1
@KevinCoop1 I think in the article I just sent you talks about how they can get around that restriction. I think companies can pretty much do as they please. They got away with highway robbery in '08, the last time they pulled one of these off.
1
@Bumble Blimfield Coronavirus. Crowds can't gather.
1
Or we could simply elect Bernie.
1
@katherinec409 You'd rather continue with this system that rips us off? Are you that indoctrinated?
1
@KevinCoop1 Nice try but...."President Donald Trump said on Friday that he will not adhere to a portion of the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill that would authorize an inspector general to oversee how $500 billion in business loans will be spent."
1
@heresclowny5115 Congress just voted for a 4 trillion dollar (some say as high as 7 trillion dollars , equivalent to the cost of the Iraq war) slush fund for the 1% and that is what you come up with? Sanders plans actually had a benefit for the American people. What benefit are we getting by transferring all that wealth to the top 1%? Anything? You are an unwitting stooge for wealthy America. Congratulations.
1
@heresclowny5115 You mean socialist medicare? Sanders wants to expand it. Why would that reduce social services? You don't know what you are talking about.
1
@heresclowny5115 Are you sober? Congress just transferred 4 trillion dollars of tax payer money to the wealthiest people on the planet and you are worried about two congresswomen? Clowny is a good name for you. You're an idiot.
1
@heresclowny5115 1.5 million students flocked to Florida. The worse is yet to come.
1
@katherinec409 Sanders is the only one out there trying to end the corruption. The only thing he wants to overthrow is the oligarchy that has taken over our government. We used to be a constitutional republic. Not any more.

Draining the swamp is a pipe-dream. Both side are corrupt beyond redemption. People who go into politics do it for the wrong reasons. They are hardworking lawyers who get tired of the daily grind of scamming people and simply gravitate to where the real money is. Why not scam for real money and rub noses with the super wealthy? If they do the bidding of these billionaires, I'm sure there is an unwritten agreement they will be "taken care of". Bernie seems to be the exception. II can't think of of any Republicans who qualify. The key is to get money out of politics. Elections should be taxpayer funded only.
1
The BS is giving trillions of dollars of free tax payer money to the 1% in the first place. Trump's tax cuts gave them billions. Did they spend it all already?
1
Republicans are in this just like the democrats .
1
Cory Snyder I heard if the IRS doesn't have your routing number it may take 4 months to get it.
1
Why are we giving 500 billion to the 1% having nothing to do with America or Coronavirus?
1
@KevinCoop1 How are they going to find out? Corporations aren't about to let anyone look at their books.
1
@jveebklyn1644 The issue is there will be a massive transfer of wealth to the 1% at the expense of tax payers.
1
@quintessentialmi They did the same thing in '09.
1
@Jack Reagan Better yet, why are we giving the 1% free money? They received billions with the tax cut.
