  1. NOTHING is 100%. The fact is that 99% of those hospitalized with covid are the UNVACCINATED. Sure, just like how every other vaccine works, there CAN BE breakthrough cases, as no vaccine is an actual CURE. Research what the purpose of vaccines actually are. They're made to EXTREMELY MINIMIZE the risk of serious illness/hospitalization and/or death, as well as LIMIT the spread of the virus, so the more people who gets vaccinated, the less viral loads are spread around, infecting people. A vaccine does not work like a cure. What it does, is that it PREPARES your immune system for the potential real deal. With the vaccine, your body reckognizes the virus, and are much better equipped/prepared to successfully fight the actual virus. So, it gives you a much, much higher chance at not only surviving, but having less severe illness. Tho unfortunately sometimes, though INCREDIBLY RARELY, someone experiencing a breakthrough case may still become seriously ill and potentially die, despite (and I can't stress this enough) it's INSANELY rare. Some people have other conditions making them more suseptable to severe illness. These people usually have weak immune systems already, as some people just happen to be immunocompromised. Other health factors which weakens your body's ability to fight off serious diseases must also be factored in, like obesity, lung disease, old age, otherwise poor health etc. Many people have several health conditions, and the older we get, usually the more voulnerable we become - even with a vaccine. So it always depends, and a vaccine is not a guarantee. BUT just because something isn't 100% effective doesn't mean it's not incredibly effective and usually life saving. It's a matter of odds, risks versus benefits. If you take the vaccine, there's a 99% chance you'll be completely fine, or worst case scenario, still become ill, potentially even hospitalized, but you won't die. The chance of serious infection and hospitalization even with the vaccine is still EXTREMELY RARE. Turn it around, and you'll see that if you get covid and are NOT vaccinated.. especially with the Delta variant, you are very much likely to die, and hospitalization is almost a guarantee. So the choice is OBIVIOUS here. If you were to find yourself with only two options going forward.. the one path gives you a 99% chance of survival, and the only other option is a path with 99% chance of death. What do you choose? You OBVS choose the path that gives you a 99% survivability rate. It's really that easy. Do some reading on ACTUAL, CREDIBLE medical sources describing vaccine science. Educate yourself, it's not a hard concept. Stop being dense. You're just playing with fire by this point - you're willfully ignorant, and there's no excuse.
