  3. Some Republicans are held accountable. I doubt Trump will intervene to get this guy out of trouble the way he does for guys like Manafort, Navarro, Arpaio, and Bannon.

His initial strategy called for a continuing resolution tied to the SAVE Act. Hours before the vote, he pulled the bill off the floor. He needs more Republican support if he's going to pass anything but rather than work with his caucus, he went down to Florida. Johnson claims to not want a government shutdown but that puts him at odds with Trump and Vance (who do). Johnson going down there instead of doing his job seems to say the Oct. 1st deadline isn't all that important.
