  16. They did work, though. Mccarthyism successfully blacklisted major actors and screenwriters. Charlie Chaplin wasn't allowed back into America and Trumbo had to surreptitiously write screenplays. Cancel culture is not a blacklist. This is just a bunch of rich folks crying because they don't like the repercussions of saying hateful or unpopular things.
