Do you have any evidence to support that claim or do you just say whatever you think about a profession you know very little about?

Good luck with a Draconian approach to running a school, Gary. Unions are established for labor laws and working conditions. If you don't like our system here in America, you're more than welcome to live elsewhere.

They are still teaching, just remotely.
2
Likely, yes. All taxes are being paid. Online school can be more expensive so I hope there's a technology fee on top.

Alabama offers the freedom to marry your sister. Enjoy it down there, sicko...

And?

Since your kids are in private school and you confused a global pandemic with cold/flu season, you just admitted you have neither a relevant reason to weigh in nor any insight to offer.

She made the exact opposite point, Buzzy. She said the health and safety of all students and teachers should be the priority over some crackpots that don't believe in masks, vaccines or science.

Public education is free in America, Scott.

@iandurfee3439 But you get my taxes when you collect your welfare checks.

Sweet half-baked idea, Donna! Maybe ask a very patient superintendent to explain to you why that's an idiotic suggestion.

@Jeremy_the_bot is living really a benefit? Seems more like an inalienable right. It's pretty obvious who sees a job as a clock-in at nine and clock-out at five scenario. Teachers plan in the evenings, grade work on the weekends and do all this while being underpaid.

Where are you going to find all these replacement teachers??
1
@ricknick5318 to be fair, Tennessee is a bit of a joke in all sorts of things.
1
The students, it's obvious. Teachers have been on the frontline and parents quickly figured out they can't educate children without them. All teachers deserve our heartfelt gratitude and respect.

@debbie1004 I would guess to bolster the technological capabilities of underfunded schools. Online school is not cheap to set up or maintain.

If Florida gets worse, I doubt you'd notice.

There is no guarantee for "in-person" learning. Education is happening, just not the way these yahoos want it. Teaching online takes a tremendous amount of planning and is not easy. FOX is continuing to peddle COVID misinformation and should be blamed for exacerbating this situation.

Child abuse is not legal, BJ.

Hegseth is more sexual offender than journalist. Interviewing is outside of his wheelhouse.
1
They're teaching remotely. Teachers are dedicated professionals who have committed their lives to educating our children. Instead of whinging like a child, show some gratitude like an adult.
1
Then what are the parents complaining about? If parents don't need teachers or schools then there is no issue. Attend online or don't, just stop throwing tantrums about the choice.
1
Maybe. The uneducated parents that are doing the bulk of the whinging probably don't work and pay very little or no taxes.
1
@iandurfee3439 so no evidence to support the claim, then?
1
@daneetaran8784 they're working now, teaching remotely. What would you use as grounds for termination?
