  3. A little information. Legally the firearm DOES not have to be stored separately from any ammunition. The chamber MUST be unloaded but there are no laws broken by storing the firearm and ammo in the same locked container/case/safe. (c) it is not readily accessible to ammunition, unless the ammunition is stored, together with or separately from the firearm, in a container or receptacle that is kept securely locked and that is constructed so that it cannot readily be broken open or into. If traveling to and from a range the ammunition must be stored and transported in its own lockable and secured container.
