  2. You're maybe right. This has A LOT to do with optics. Trudeau demands to be re-elected and in wanting this, calls in certain favors. There was the incident in B.C. where a homeless man, Craig Truckle, shot and wounded a body shop owner, Clint Smith, with a rifle over an alleged assault that Clint and some friends were causing to a tent city. All charges were dropped. This has more to do with political expediency and Trudeau wants to be dictator a little longer. Yet if one looks closer we see a pattern: Peter Khill shots and kills a First Nations man, John Styres, on his property, is acquitted and then retried on appeal and gets 8 years in prison. Craig Truckle: charges stayed Ali Mian: charges thrown out. Why? However, I'm very happy that Mr. Mian's charges were dropped.
