@lukespooky Those words are nowhere in the published text of that oath. I just checked. My loyalty is, as sworn long ago, to him as his mother's heir: but since then, my service has lead me to a more direct loyalty to God, in his triune form, having not once but many times channelled the Spirit to the very great good of the reputation on this country. That, though it cost me my life, I cannot forswear.
Part of that service made me a legist of the Belgian Supreme Court, recognised by the Ministry of Justice. I also carry a residual onus of the bloke who closed one of the two guarantors of the ECHR. These bring greater weight than lay on me as a young man. These are lesser reasons to change my oath.
Finally, the nature of that oath denied the 1689 Bill of Rights. What I promise, I will, and do, deliver.
