"Ana is child like in her mindset." Way to set the example for mature adult discourse.

"Where was her defense of people who refuse to make wedding cakes for homosexual couples?" Because they are discriminating against who and what people are, not what they say. You seem unable to tell the difference.
2
You don't actually get to decide whether or not I choose to respond.
2
You are allowed to discriminate against what people say and how they express themselves. That is the only acceptable form of discrimination. You are not allowed to discriminate against who and what a person is.
1
"I think permitting one form leads us down a slippery slope" Just think for a second: what is an election but the act of discriminating against what candidates say? How do you choose who you do and don't keep as friends besides discriminating against what people say? How do you choose what product to buy based on what advertisers tell you? This is human nature, and moreover, it is necessary in these examples.
1
"Discriminating is not necessarily the same thing as choice/preference." It is exactly that. The distinction your making is the reasoning. The discrimination itself is the choice and following action or expression.
1
No, I don't, because it is important to understand that discriminating against words and ideas is acceptable, and discriminating against who and what people are is not.
1
"Just because you dont like a person (for whatever reason) doesn't mean you should treat him differently." Of course you should. How the hell will you ever find a boyfriend/girlfriend otherwise?
1
It's not an analogy, it's an example of discrimination. There is no analogy for making decisions.
1
Such fragile masculinity that you can't deal with a woman with opinions.

"In principal (sic) that's wrong and it IS petty." Your principle (or principal) is not hers.
1
"What he decided to say is a part of who he is" That is nonsense. We have a choice about what we say. We don't have a choice about the way we were born. Don't play ignorant.
1
"you'd still have a choice of how you behave" A person who "chooses" to love another person is not hurting anyone else, provided both are consenting adults. Glad to see your homophobia come out, at least.
1
"A person who criticizes is not hurting anyone else" We're not talking about criticism (which, in fact, can hurt others, depending on the criticism). Your example was about denying service to someone based on sexual orientation, which is illegal.
1
"I have explained to you why, in "principle", it isn't" Whose principle? What is that principle?
1
I did not what?
1
Mark thinks that gay people should stop "acting gay," and should be discriminated against if they "act gay."
1
Wow, that only took you a week to come up with.
1
"I actually have a life" Yes, this is what people who have a life come on the internet to declare.
1
Oh, is it a fact you have a life? Maybe if you keep insisting on it over the internet, I'll eventually believe you.
