Sunny Fairvlough - Commitments the UK government made and never told the voters. They are surprised as their government never informed them.

Salzopyrin - The is a withdrawal agreement that takes into account the Good Friday Agreement and tries to keep it even as the government had no plan, no preparation and is deeply divided. By the way the Leavers Johnson and company run away or went into hiding avoiding any responsibility.
2
Jack Smith - Well first you settle the accounts for services rendered and commitments made. I guess the government forget to mention to the voters what they all signed off. It is a bit like the wife noticing when paying the hotel bill what services her husband all booked.
2
KLM738XO - The provide something called jobs. A lot of people need jobs to pay for their living.
2
Czar Zenana - As long as the UK has not settled the accounts with the EU few other countries will touch them. Not to mention that people who break treaties as not the one you want to sign any with.

@samuellittle1286 No one speaks about the US. The EU countries give every EU citizen the right to work where he finds work. He can stay in another country if he shows after 90 days that he can support himself 100%. If not he is send home. This is what is called freedom of movement for workers.

Joachim K - Some people seem to understand that a crash out means the UK pulls up every hindrances in trade possible and trades on the worst possible conditions (WTO). This is why all other countries have made better arrangements with their closest trading partners. Many of them are even in trading blocs. A lone country that showed it is untrustworthy to keep any treaty as they crashed out will be the last another country wants a treaty with. Just to mention the Japanese PM who basically said to May as she asked him about a trade deal. "Go home and don't come back before your issues with the EU are settled." Crashing out settles nothing to the UK will not be touched by many before they settled their accounts orderly. The UK seems to forget that a lot of countries have trade treaties with the largest single market on earth and cherish them.
1
John Morris This is a withdrawal agreement. A trade treaty with the EU will take at least 6 years to negotiate.
1
@gzappa I state the fact that the Canada-EU trade treaty took 6 years to negotiate and that what we are talking now is the withdrawal agreement. So if the government plans to have a trade treaty with the EU it might take 6 or more years. I have no idea what the plans of the governments are.
1
Mathew Shute - An uncontrolled crash out will be a catastrophe.
1
@o.o5816 The UK will then be sued and other countries will tell the UK as they did in the past go to the EU and come not back to us before you solve that. Not to mention that countries have a natural reluctance to trust people just broke the terms of a treaty.
1
Clay Lee - This is a withdrawal agreement and leaving is about losing. If the UK had not the occupation of part of Ireland it would be a pretty simple agreement.
1
@KLM738XO Well businesses employ people for example the Japanese investment brought 144.000 jobs to the UK. The mostly foreign owned car industry supports directly and indirectly over 800.000 jobs. The exports into the EU supports about 3 million jobs.
1
Jack Smith - The UK always trade on WTO when nothing better is availabe. So WTO is the worst possible trade condition. Only Mauritania trades exclusively on WTO. All other WTO countries made better arrangements with their closest trading partners. Many of them are in trading blocs and even the US is in a trading bloc.

@commonsense31 Can we just say immigrants? expats sounds just as if one always has to have something extra and be extra special. If the EU citizen are classified as immigrants then the once from the UK in the EU are immigrants as well.
1
@samuellittle1286 This is about the freedom of movement of work in the EU for EU citizen only. If you find work in another EU country and within 90 day show you can support yourself 100% you can stay otherwise you get send home.
1
KarzanRwandzy - Which rest? The UK exports for 1800 billion and trades with the rest of the world already. Not to mention that with a lot of countries they have trade treaties which form one of the largest trading networks the world has ever seen.
