Yes Mr Transport secretary on the 29th of March 11pm third country rules apply for the UK and 100% of the checks as for other third country. Yes this means that without the proper papers nothing passes any border. The customs duties have to be paid as well as the tariffs and a ton of paperwork. Lets not forget the food inspections that will take time as well. This means that companies aware of that remove suppliers from the UK from their supply line. They prefer safe, swift and no extra costs and paperwork. The only measure to avoid a total catastrophe are more customs officers about 10 times more and about time times more facilities to process the lorries. Everything else is just hot air.

Slaine Saxon - Why are people so eager to trade on the lowest level like Mauretania? From all WTO members only Mauretania trades solely under the lowest trade conditions aka WTO. All other WTO countries have made trade treaties and arrangements with their closest trading partners. Many of these countries are in trade blocs to increase their leverage and joined power in trade negotiations.

@slainesaxon3809 The EU already has trade treaties with a lot of countries. They trade 1800 billion globally. So the UK loses all these trade treaties with other countries. This is a withdrawal agreement and it is about the UK leaving. This means it is about losing all benefits a member has and become a third country like Canada. Well less like Canada as they have an EU trade treaty.
