The argument for vegetarian make sense. Fruitarian doesn't. Too much sugar is bad for you

@irrfan3300 I do know "science" and have studied healthy diets, this is not one of them. Doesn't matter if it is natural sugars or not. The fruitarian diet can be problematic if you have or at risk for diabetes and/or struggle with excessive weight. Too much fruit negatively affects blood sugar levels in the body. Not to mention the risk of malnourishment is high with such a restrictive diet. This girl was talking about not even eating vegetables because it kills the plant..🙄 The human body needs protein. It's not getting that from fruit

@Rico-tt3jk Protein - macro nutrients that consist of a chain of amino acids. They are broken down in the stomach as part of digestion. Read my other comment, just because it is natural doesn't mean you can't have too much. Diabetes, excess weight, blood sugar, and malnourishment are just a few of the reasons to not only have a fruit diet.

@journey9694 I and the scientific community disagree. When people who are vastly overweight go to a doctor or dietarian or nutritionist they are generally told to avoid excess sugar and carbs. Are there instances where this is not the case... sure.. but they are few and far between. There isn't some magical set of "right conditions " to follow where a morbidly obese person is allowed/suggested to eat fruit diet instead of a veggie diet.

@aprylelectra and? So does broccoli. What is your point?

jasmyne Salt? If it is a complete protein how can it have no protein value?

@Justineatsfruit ... yes it does. Talk to a nutrition expert.

@Justineatsfruit and she doesn't know that too much sugar, even from fruit, is bad for you? That is scary.
1
@Justineatsfruit That is anecdotal at best.
