@grannyannie6744 Do you mean quarantine facilities? Might want to check out the costs and time constraints on building and staffing a hospital compared to a worker style camp.

@grannyannie6744 Check out how much the last hospital in Adelaide cost to build/equip/staff and how long it took. I'm not saying that medical shouldn't have been bolstered, it should but it isn't quite as simple as people make it out to be. How much more would our medical costs have been without quarantine and what would the other end results have been? Maybe compare the costs to the health system in WA for example to Vic. after all the issues they have had. I suspect that 28 mill would be a drop in the ocean.

@grannyannie6744 Most of the dramas with this have been due to issues with hotel quarantine in a few states Hotels just aren't set up or designed to do this. The Howard Springs facility, from what I have seen, does a much better job. It's debatable if they will be needed given the way things look to be going now but you can guarantee that the crying from some quarters will be loud and long if we do get another nasty variant and there aren't facilities to try and reduce problems.

@grannyannie6744 Another social media beat up I'm guessing. Govts. certainly haven't been perfect in all of this but most of it is just the usual incompetence and the sheer magnitude of what they are trying to deal with imo. So many of the victim rant stories I have seen have been well and truly blown out of proportion for a particular narrative. In fact there are few YouTube channels who do very well out of doing this who may have to get real jobs when/if it all blows over......either that or back to social security.

@grannyannie6744 Yeah more social media rubbish methinks. I still remember all the noise being made about the case here in Australia and they came to absolutely nothing, how surprising.
