Gee what a surprise that a profit based system based on the just in time principles struggles when there is increased demand or anything goes wrong. Don't we see the same thing with healthcare every year, when a ship gets stuck in a canal or global supply systems get hit with the unexpected? Sort of like when everyone decides that they need extra bog roll? Turn off unneeded lights, set the thermostat a bit cooler and put on a jumper, we'll survive.

@Jackripster69 Society doesn't want nuclear so the Govt. won't have nuclear. Power at any cost for you eh? Personally I don't think that my kids glowing in the dark is a better future really.

@Jackripster69 Nope I have just seen the problems it can cause and when it does everyone just blames everyone else or looks the other way. Other ways to do things that aren't as potentially risky or have issues in following decades. Sounds like you just want cheap power at any cost. Maybe you need to cough up and sort out your own system? We will if it comes to it.
