@allansmith6140 Some states over there are now reaching capacity in the ICUs from what I have read. Cases still on the increase as well.

@jamesm2099 Are they? Proof?

@jamesm2099 How about a pretty much unprecedented event, people trying to cope and a heap of nutters posting absolute crap. Plenty of bs I will agree but some of the posters on here can't organise their own lives let alone comment on bigger issues I reckon.

@jamesm2099 The problem is that people seem to have some sort of attachment to what their particular idea of freedom is. Are you "free" if you are in debt, have no choice to work due our system, can you afford decent medical care etc etc. None of these things are of concern to me and I can jump in my 4wd and go away or go for a walk and get anything I want to buy. I have no doubt that the system is run by big business to suit themselves but it can only succeed if it all runs smoothly and everyone keeps consuming. It has been shown what happens when this is threatened. I don't think that there is any grand conspiracy going on and people should be asking why their Govts. can't supply basic needs to their citizens rather than keep going on about crap they can't prove or do anything about. Control that which you can and ignore that which you can't ............................or even prove. Stay safe.

Hand Solo Very true but it seems that many can't see past their own wants or can't fathom that humans, like any other critter, are subject to the whims of Mother Nature. Personally think that we are well overdue for an event like this but many can't even see it for what it is. We've become like beef cows, fat dumb and lazy and maybe a becoming a happy meal is our fate. Stay well.

@saltyanchor9174 I'm not even sure what this "free" thing is that everyone is carrying on about. If we are in the middle of a pandemic then restricting contact between people is just common sense imo. It has been shown to work, so far, in NZ and some states here in Aust. and then things open up again. Living in society comes with restrictions of all sorts anyway so people carrying on about their "freedoms" is sort of pointless cos they can only have them due to living in a first world economy. If the shtf economically, and I suspect it might, then people are going to be more concerned about shelter, food and water than anything else. So much white noise, hysteria, fear and distraction when what we should be worrying about this virus and how it will change our lives in general. Anyway I couldn't care less tbh. I will continue to make sure the effects of this will cause the minimal damage to myself and my family, others will have to make their own choices and deal with the consequences thereof. We are all supposed to be grown ups after all. Stay safe.
