@raindancer3330 Makes you wonder how we all managed to get by without them or when the shops closed at 5pm and were only open 51/2 days a week doesn't it? Like most things balance is what it's all about. I love some of the practicalities of them but then I hate some of the other crap.

Why? I like to be told if there's a bushfire in the area and where it is. Absolutely nothing on my phone or in my life that could be construed as useful or interesting to anyone looking. Don't use it for banking or keep any critical data on it so who cares.

@sharonstone-bh1zp Why would I do that exactly? I've done very well in life by looking at what's going on in the world and making decisions accordingly. Why would this be any different when it's just another useful tool? If I'm asleep and there's a bushfire heading our way wouldn't knowing about it be helpful rather than wait until I hear the sirens or someone bangs on my door? Stow the paranoia eh?

Until you do. We live in an area that can have bushfires so being able to find out if they're in the area and where easily is a good thing imo. I also have an app that tells us our GPS location if we have to ring emergency services if we find a problem somewhere. Sure easier reading off a screen if you're having to deal with a serious accident etc or have someone know my GPS coordinates if things go horribly wrong. You do you though...............
