Does your fairy story end with "and they all lived happily ever after" by any chance?

@allanedwards1036 All the reset, WEF, blah blah blah we keep hearing. History shows us all of this stuff has happened before and likely will again but the "information" age and victim mentality now means we have to label it all and point the finger of blame.

@grannyannie2948 So one country and under a very specific set of circumstances? AI. automation and the subsequent loss of peoples abilities to earn a living wage is definitely a natural progression of big companies wanting ever more profit. Continual growth as a mindset when we live on a planet of a set size with a set amount of resources is also ultimately doomed to failure, it has to imo. The world is changing as it always has so I will continue to focus on reducing the impacts on our lives. Complaining and the blame game serve no purpose whatsoever.

@grannyannie2948 Yep things are going to get tough, but as I said, that's an inevitable outcome given the fact that there are physical limits to never ending growth. We're living longer, consuming more, demanding more and becoming ever more reliant on our systems to just live these days. What did you think would happen eventually? I will take a guess and say that by this time next year they will have managed to sort most of it as they always seem to do. You were the one saying that Govts. shouldn't dictate what temp. that people set their thermostats at whilst also complaining that it's going to be tough for folks in those countries.3 Surely you're aware of the history of such things? Victory gardens, rationing etc etc. What do you propose happens if weather events worsen and food becomes much scarcer or way more expensive?

@positivepawpaw7564 Why is it that when someone disagrees with your view they are a troll exactly? Personally I don't think that humans can change their habits/needs/wants enough to prevent the path that we're on but labelling it and then everyone jumping on the bandwagon because it's the current fad thing is also stupid imo. The reality is that it will likely all fall by the wayside as people start going hungry or can't heat their homes.

@TheRealBobSmith. Likely an Easter Island type event at some point and hard times leading up to it all. Even if we don't do it via climate our over consumption, greed and stupidity pretty much guarantee it at some point. If you can't go to the most remote of places and not find plastic and all sorts of other crap washed up everywhere then I would suggest that we have issues. Still got your blinkers on I see.

@grannyannie2948 Still trying to blame it all on those that are out to get us then? What if what they're saying is merely predictive and not "their plan" for the future? From the bits I've seen it's more a case of that than anything else. For example it's not hard to see that AI and automation will be taking lots of jobs over the next decades as businesses look for the cheapest options. What then? How about the fact that fossil fuels are a finite resource that is getting harder and more expensive to access in many places? What then? As I have said many times the trick is to ensure that when things do get tough to be ready as doom scrolling and blame won't help in the slightest imo.

@grannyannie2948 But you do believe that all of what's going on now is contrived and faked? Much of this has been spoken about for many years by people who actually watch what's going on around the place. Agricultural practices, technology, fossil fuel usage, aging populations etc have all been topics I've seen discussed many times and what the outcomes might be. Why do you think that I'm doing the things I'm doing when I could be driving a Porsche and floating around on a yacht? Plenty of bs around for sure but there's also plenty of issues as well.

@grannyannie2948 Like I said, it's all happened before so nothing new here.
