@diannemorris8690 Yeah we were getting a few of the different canned soups/chilli etc and as I ate them I was supposed to keep track of the ones that were any good.........yep failed miserably at that. I don't worry too much about taste etc as if things get tough and you get hungry you will eat most things. We also have family members who own/operate an Asian warehouse/supermarket so if things get really bad we can go there and load up. I don't want to do that normally as they refuse to charge us and I'm not good with handouts.

I have been hearing about these shortages here but hadn't seen it so I googled it earlier. Not seeing it here yet but then we really haven't seen the explosion of cases here yet either. Her indoors is going to the Supermarket soon so I will get her to check on the Mashed spuds in a bag. Shame we can't get the canned meats here that they do in the US eh? I even checked some of the bigger supermarkets in our nearest city and they didn't even have much. I checked the prices of Keystone here in Australia and the prices are horrendous. We have basically cut right back on what we eat to lose some weight and get a bit healthier anyway so it might have been good timing. Lol Seeing much in the way of price increases of the canned meat products as I've forgotten what we were paying?

@diannemorris8690 If you haven't tried it give the Gravox Our Best of Beef Gravy a crack, we love it. They do other flavours as well but we haven't tried them. I will report back later on the Deb as we aren't going up till a bit later. Aldi always seems to have good prices on the canned meats and I noticed that when I googled keystone that the Reject Shop have canned meats apparently. Didn't know that but might be worth remembering.

@diannemorris8690 Good job on the oven, just make sure you're cooking things properly or it could backfire on you............literally. Yeah we got a breadmaker as I figured that the things you go out for regularly are bread and milk. Powdered/tinned milk is easy but bread not so much. We love it but don't use it as much as we should. Maybe hit up your local op shops/thrift stores as I have seen plenty of posts by people who got them there. Any amount of instruction books etc on the net if it hasn't got paperwork. We're not getting too carried away with it all atm as the garden is coming on and I reckon things will start to calm down as this wave settles down. I might be wrong.

@diannemorris8690 Yeah hopefully we will see the end of it soon as my wife will be starting her part time casual job soon and will be exposed to all sorts of people doing it. Not fussed about the bug itself but want to avoid all the other bs. They seem to be changing the rules daily as the completely obvious fact that they can't handle the numbers involved becomes clear. Strange really as it was the first thing I thought of. We actually had shortages as panic buying and busloads of "professional" buyers turned up early on and cleared the shelves. Limits on amounts would have fixed it quickly but it took them a long time to do it. Still a lot else going on in the world and the weather seems to be getting more mental every year so time will tell as always. Missus has just gone to her appointment so I will provide the Intel on the mashed tats situation soon. Lol

@savannah505 It's supply chain issues mainly due to people having to isolate or stay home when they are sick. It was very predictable and has happened in most places from what I have seen. Where are you that you think that it is better and that politics has much to do with it?

@diannemorris8690 Tin of the Gravy? Comes in a jar so typo or maybe you got the normal one? Sometimes we will just make up noodles with flavouring and then mix in whatever we have in the fridge, tastes great. Just debating whether we will actually go to the supermarket as the testing stupidity is happening and we don't want to play that game. Heading off into the bush tomorrow for some sandwiches and tea so might just make a loaf of bread in the breadmaker and call that good enough, it's the reason we got it in the first place. I will let you know if we go or maybe you can check online.

@diannemorris8690 Ok here's the news on the mashed tats in a bag. Only two of the larger packets left, which my wife grabbed lol, but plenty of the smaller ones. Probably not indicative of much as our smallish regional supermarket quite often runs out of stuff even at the best of times. We will try and remember to have a look next week. Another product we use a bit are Tandaco coating mixes which are great on chops, chicken etc. A bit of chilli powder sprinkled in them is even better. I have even put some into meat pattie mixes that I make and they taste excellent. Nice chatting, take care.

@savannah505 Yeah sorry but don't do all the politician hero worship and tbh I think that you guys have way more problems than we do. Try not to get caught up in all of the social media noise as it's a load of bs a lot of the time. I've seen stuff reported on sites over your way and they just make me laugh. I also don't do all the NWO tripe either. Sorry bout that. All the best to you also.
